Word to the wise: keep in mind that a one-minute audio file will be about 1.3 megabytes in size. Unless you’re on an unlimited data plan with your carrier, you may want to minimize sending audio recordings via e-mail using this app.

Note: A known audio recording issue currently exists with Motorola Atrix devices. Motorola’s next software update should fix the issue, but recording with that device is problematic at the moment.

The geographical areas including all 10 of Canada’s provinces, 14 European countries (from Andora to the United Kingdom), the United States (36 states from Alaska to Wyoming), South American (resorts in Argentina and Chile), and Oceania (resorts in Australia and New Zealand).

After selecting a specific resort, TrailMaps will quickly download the map to your mobile device’s SD card. This allows you to look over the map whether or not your device is communicating with a network.

Once loaded, you may zoom in and out of the map in portrait or landscape mode using the plus and minus buttons. You may also scroll around with your device’s touchpad.
